Miguel Trápaga: A Guitar Concert

Guitarist Miguel Trápaga will present an essentially Spanish programme through a selection of compositions by guitarists such Fernando Sor, Dionisio Aguado or Francisco Tárrego.
Miguel Trápaga (Cantabria, Spain) teaches at the Real Conservatorio de Música de Madrid. Trápaga has made recordings for the Spanish National Radio and the BBC, among others. He has given recitals in concert halls and theaters worldwide, and has performed with the Moscow String Quartet, the mezzosoprano Lola Casariego, and as a soloist with the Seville Symphony Orchestra, Madrid Symphony Orchestra and Ukranian National Orchestra.

El guitarrista Trápaga presentará un programa esencialmente español a través de composiciones de guitarristas tales como Fernando Sor, Dionisio Aguado o Francisco Tárrega.


Miguel Trápaga nace en Cantabria en 1967. Ha grabado para Radio Nacional y para la BBC, entre otros. Ha actuado junto al cuarteto de cuerda de Moscú, la mezzosoprano Lola Casariego, el violinista Alexander Detisov y, como solista, con las orquestas sinfónicas de Sevilla, Madrid y Nacional de Ucrania.

Welcome to the Instituto Cervantes in Manila

Instituto Cervantes is a worldwide non-profit organization created by the Spanish government in 1991.  It is the largest organization in the world dedicated to the teaching of the Spanish language and increasing knowledge of culture in Latin-American Countries.  At present, Instituto Cervantes has 73 centres in 20 different countries.
Instituto Cervantes’ mission is to promote the teaching, study and use of Spanish as a second language, and to contribute to the advancement of Spanish and Latin-American cultures throughout the world. The library and cultural programs of the centre aim to enhance and provide a clear, global and updated version of Spanish culture.
